Starting in late 2021, We’ve had the wonderful Opportunity to work with Zinox, a major player in the Stainless Steel Cookware manufacturing industry.
Starting as a modest aluminum cookware factory back in 1964,
El-Zenouki has radically grown to be a multi-unit powerhouse with a vertically integrated business module handling both the production and distribution of products. El-Zenouki offers a very wide and versatile range of cookware products constituting a plethora of different material make-ups, ranging from Stainless steel and Aluminum to Non-stick Teflon, Ceramic, and Granite. Being a pioneer in the MENA region, El-Zenouki group strives to offer state-of-the-art, smart, durable, and healthy cookware solutions through a working environment based on ingenuity, sharp attention to detail, and opting for the highest quality standards for raw materials and optimization of manufacturing processes.
Over the course of a year and a half, We’ve managed to implement a robust and effective lean implementation system, enhancing and enforcing core Lean and cultural enhancement programs, thanks to the amazing work and sheer drive for success by everyone involved. This partnership has deemed to be very successful, yielding an impressive 7 million EGP in savings and an ROI of 18.38, with the improvements ranging from area savings to quality alleviation by a reduction in the 2nd grade products and re-work by approximately 20%, improvement in the machines’ overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) by 26%, 5S principles implementation, new maintenance strategies comprising Autonomous and preventive maintenance principles, the utilization of already existing equipment with minor changes in the SOP’s and most importantly, an overall cultural awareness enhancement throughout the plant. As part of the program, the concept of KAIZEN and continuous improvement is now considered a KPI, encouraging the staff to always strive for improvement and utilize creativity and problem solving skills to deal with any problems as they emerge.
